About Us.
80/20 Thinking started out in January 2008 with the aim of providing organizations with the insight and the resources to improve consumer trust and to reduce risk across a wide spectrum of problem areas in privacy, data protection and security awareness.
Within a few weeks of incorporation we had established a client and partner base, including Facebook, PGP Corporation, AOL, Secure Computing, Phorm and the London School of Economics.
80/20's UK strategic partner is the global public relations firm Burson-Marsteller. B-M and 80/20 work closely together to create projects and events that address key industryy issues.
A big part of 80/20’s strength comes from the support we receive from our Advisory Group of leading public and private sector figures. This body helps provide the leadership for 80/20's work.
In May 2008 80/20 Thinking was appointed as evaluators to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR). Our role as experts on mission is to work globally with UNHCR to evaluate refugee registration systems and to produce a Privacy Impact Assessment.

We are also the privacy advisers to ICOMP - the Initiative for a Competitive Online Marketplace, a global initiative supported by more than 40 organisations seeking a more transparent and competitive Internet.

The 80/20 team also as a long established working relationship with the Enterprise Privacy Group. a leading think-tank for organizations developing best practice in the management of personal information.
